Benevolence
The Adjutant General's Corps Association provides benevolence and welfare support for eligible service and former-service personnel who find themselves in genuine need, suffering hardship or distress.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR ASSISTANCE?
Any former or currently serving member of the AGC, including Reservists, who completed Phase 1 basic training. This includes personnel who had service with antecedent Corps such as the RAPC, RAEC, ALC and WRAC and then joined the AGC on its formation.
The Association Benevolence Grants Committee considers all applications for benevolence support. We may approach other Service Charities for additional assistance if necessary.

WHAT TYPE OF ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE?

HOW TO APPLY FOR HELP?
If you fulfil the above eligibility criteria, who should contact your local SSAFA or regional Royal British Legion office in the first instance. They will assign a fully trained caseworker to build a case and establish the full range of assistance that you need.
This includes detail on your household income to establish the correct means-testing that our Grants Committee requires to ensure that a charitable grant goes to those in real need. The caseworker, once service in the AGC is proven, will forward the case to the Benevolence Secretary in AGC HQ for consideration with the wider Grants Committee.
